Uploading images or files
Note: The maximum file size per file upload is one gigabyte.
-
Click the "Pages & Files" tab on top of your workspace page.

-
On the files page, click the "Upload files" button.

Note: If this button is disabled and cannot be clicked, you may not have the appropriate permission on the workspace to upload. Another reason for the button being disabled is that you only have permission to upload to a specific folder. Click on the individual folders of the workspace, and if the button becomes active on any of them, then you have permission to upload, but only to that specific folder.
-
Select the file you'd like to upload. If you'd like to upload multiple files, please hold down the CTRL key (to add a file to the list of selected files) or the SHIFT key (to select a range of files) when choosing files from your computer. NOTE: To ensure a smooth uploading experience, please avoid uploading files with extremely long file names. If you're having an issue uploading a file with a long name, please try renaming the file and attempting to upload the file again. Also, you may only upload up to ten files at a time with this uploader.

The uploader may look slightly different, depending on your operating system, however you should still be able to select multiple files to upload.
-
Click the "Open" or "Select" button to upload the files to your workspace.

-
A window will then pop-up to show you the progress of your files to be uploaded. Cancelling queued uploads is easy, just click on the "Cancel Uploads" button.

-
Your successfully uploaded files will appear in your workspace's list of files.
Note: If you attempt to upload a file with a name that already exists on your workspace, you will get a message that will allow you to choose if you want to make the file you're uploading a new revision, or if you want the file to be on it's own with a new name. Even if you choose to upload a new revision, the previous revision of the file is still available. Click here to learn more information on reverting files.

Editing or Updating existing uploaded Files
For smooth editing or updating of existing files, please follow these steps:
1) Download the file to your computer's desktop or other convenient location;
2) Open the file from where you saved it on your computer;
3) Make any desired changes to the file;
4) Save the file without modifying the original file name;
5) Upload the modified version of the file to your workspace.
The result is that the new file version will be saved as the newest revision of the file (see image below).

The advantage of this system of revisions is that you can go back and access previous file revisions to change the revision that will be displayed as the current version of the file. To access previous revisions click on the number in the "Revs" column. You'll be presented with a screen which lists every revision of your file:

If you have the appropriate permission on the workspace, you can delete the revisions or revert the file to a previous version. You can also click on the specific date and time of the file to view the version of the file without reverting.
If you don't see the "Delete" or "Revert" links when viewing file revisions, then you don't have the permission on the workspace to perform those actions.
Adding images or files to workspace pages
Note: The maximum file size per file upload is one gigabyte (1 GB) for the premium Classroom Edition and 50 MB for any free edition.
- Go into "Edit Mode" on any page by clicking the edit tab.

- Click "Images and Files" tab under the "Insert Links" "Page Tool" on the right-side of your screen.

- Click the Upload Files, which will cause a browser window to appear.

- When you locate the file, click on it, and then click “Open”. You can select up to ten files to upload at one time.

After uploading, the file will appear in your file list.

- Click on the text of the file name to insert it into your workspace. If it's an image file, (PNG, JPEG, or GIF), it will be inserted as an image wherever the cursor is located in the editor. If it's any other kind of file, then the file will be inserted as a link.
Note: If you want to see a list of your files and pictures without going into "Edit" mode, click the “Pages and Files” tab while viewing the workspace.

TIP: Have a lot of images and files and don't like scrolling through a huge list to find the one you want? Use your browser's "Search" function (CTRL+F) to find the image or file in a flash!
Editing Images on the Page
Using your mouse
To set the size quickly using your mouse:
- When in editing mode, click the picture you want to resize in order to select it. You'll see small white boxes appear around the edges (note: these may look different depending on your browser).

- Click and hold on the lower right corner of the picture and drag to make the picture bigger or smaller. The new image size will be displayed in pixels in a Width x Height format.

- When you've achieved the desired size, release the mouse button to complete the resizing process.

Using precise pixel values
You can also set precise pixel values for any image, just follow these steps:
- Right-click any image while in edit mode. You should see an "Edit Image" option appear where you clicked. This option will only appear while you are in edit mode.

- Click on Edit Image, and the Edit Image options will appear. With this, you can set precise pixel amounts for the height and width of images.

- When you've finished adjusting the Image Properties, click Save. You can also use this same box to edit the margin of each image, the alignment of the image, and define some alternate text for the image. Alternate text is the text that gets displayed in place of an image in case the image fails to load. In many browsers, the alternate text of an image is displayed if the mouse hovers over an image for a period of time.
Deleting Images and Files
Important: Deleting pages and files is an irreversible action, and once a page or file has been deleted it cannot be recovered. The backups we make of your workspace are in the event of catastrophic system failure, and cannot be used to retrieve specific pages and files on your workspace. In order to minimize the risk of deletion, you may want to put your users' permission level to "Writer." Writers can edit pages and add files, but cannot delete.
Please delete carefully, and at your own risk.
Method 1
- Click the Pages & Files tab on your workspace:

- Find the page or file you want to delete in the list. If you need to delete a single page or file, click the more button and then click to Delete the item.

You can check more than one page or file if you want to delete more than one page or file at a time. If you need to delete more than one page or file, check the checkboxes next to each item, and then click the Delete button at the top of the list.

-
You'll also have to click a dialogue box to make sure you want to delete the page or file. The confirm dialog will tell you how many pages you're about to delete. Click the "OK" button in the confirm dialog box to delete the page or file.

-
Please note that all links to the deleted page will be broken. You can find which pages link to the deleted page by doing a Search for "src:<page name>" (with spaces in the page name replaced with +s), and then remove the links from each page.
Method 2 (Deleting Pages)
- On the page you want to delete, enter edit mode, by clicking Edit.

- To the right, above the insert links box, are the page tools to rename and delete a page, click "Delete this page".

- Because this action is only for one page, the confirm dialog looks a bit different. Click "OK" to delete the page.
