Go to https://my.pbworks.com/?p=forgot to have a password reset e-mail sent your way!
"You don't have access to this workspace"
If you receive the "You don't have access to this workspace" error message after logging-in, please use the "Contact the workspace Owner" link to request access by sending the owner an e-mail message, or use the "Request Access" button.
My student forgot his/her password that I created with a Classroom Account
You'll need to create a new Classroom Account for that student, including a new User Name. You can find more information about classroom accounts here.
I have added a user to my users list, but the user cannot access my workspace
More than likely, the user in question has not yet verified his/her PBworks Account. The user should first check his or her e-mail for the verification e-mail. If this can't be found, the user will need to re-create an account by going to https://my.pbworks.com/?p=create and use the same e-mail address. But first, it's important that the user ensure that he/she will receive the verification e-mail; this can be done by adding @pbworks.com to an e-mail program's Safe List. After receiving the verification e-mail, the user needs only to click on the provided link to verify the account and gain access to your workspace.
*Note: If, after the user has verified his/her e-mail address, he/she is still unable to access your workspace, please remove the user from the workspace's Users List and then re-add the user.
I created a new PBworks Account, but didn't receive the verification e-mail
If you don't get your confirmation e-mail, check your spam/bulk/junk mail folders. If you still can't find it, go to http://my.pbworks.com and try to create your account again, using the same e-mail address. You'll be given the option to resend your confirmation e-mail.

If you are on a network with a particularily strong spam filter you may need to talk to you IT administrator and ask them to whitelist emails from the PBworks domain (@pbworks.com).
I forgot my workspace's address
No worries! If you haven't created a custom domain, your workspace's address (URL) is yourworkspace.pbworks.com

My Norton anti-virus software is warning me...
My Norton anti-virus software is warning me about an infected file on a PBworks workspace, should I be concerned about my workspace's security?
No, thankfully there is no real cause for concern! While clearly a potentially valuable security service, any such warning related to PBworks.com is nothing to be concerned about, for the following reasons:
- Your workspace only contains content and files that you or your users added/uploaded. There is no way for a user of one workspace to upload a file (including infected files) to another workspace without having been granted permission to participate in that workspace. So, even if a malicious person intentionally uploaded an infected file to his/her own workspace, there's nothing that they could do to pass that file onto your workspace.
- Sharing documents and files on PBworks is just as safe as exchanging files via e-mail. Viruses can only be spread through PBworks if a user intentionally downloads an infected file. If you're working with a small group of users whom you trust, the chances are highly unlikely that one member is going to attempt to intentionally infect other members' computers with a virus. In terms of accidental infection, sharing documents on PBworks is just as safe as sharing documents in email. The fact that you have Anti-virus software installed is probably a good assurance that you'll be alerted to any infected downloads, as anti-virus software typically scans all downloads, whether they come from an email attachment or a website.*
- An infected file can do no harm while sitting in storage. Viruses are programs which need to be executed in order to work. Files stored on PBworks workspaces cannot be executed directly. They must first be downloaded to a computer and only then can they be opened and executed. Therefore, even if a member of your workspace unknowingly uploads an infected file, it won't be able to affect any of the data stored in PBworks.
The main reason Norton has flagged PBworks.com as unsafe is because they're unaware of our recent rebranding--they previously recognized us as PBwiki.com. Our software and website offerings are exactly the same, only our name has changed. As you can see from this link, our site is usually rated as very safe.

* - Anti-virus software often allows users significant control over how the program operates; please consult your anti-virus program's User Manual for information on how to ensure that it is scanning your downloads for potential threats.
