PBworks User Manual
By default, all options in Customization are enabled, with comment sorting being newest to oldest. Workspace administrators can mix and match enabling and disabling any of these options to change the workspace's look and feel. Whenever you make any change to this setting, you must click "Save" in the lower left corner in order for the setting to take effect. You should be able to see each change immediately on any of your workspace's pages.
Please note that all of these changes are purely cosmetic, and with the exception of the Contact Form setting, changing these settings have no effect on the function of your workspace or any access your users have to information. To permenantly restrict access, you must set custom page and folder security.

When comments are enabled, you can also choose whether you want the newest or oldest comments to be displayed first.

Nested comments is another sorting feature available to premium workspaces. The nested comments option allows your users to make comments about comments, so the comments section can be a a more interactive discussion about the content on the page.

Check and uncheck the "Show contact form for this workspace" setting to enable and disable the contact form that allows people to contact the workspace owner. The contact form is a seperate page, which allows users to email the workspace owner without an external email program. This is enabled by default to give your users an opportunity to contact you without revealing your real email address. An example of the form that is displayed when the link is clicked is available here.

Note: If the PBworks Footer is disabled, but the Contact form is enabled, then the contact form will still be available, only the link will not be displayed. In this situation, you can still manually link to the contact form by directing users to "http://yourworkspacename.pbworks.com/contact.php" (replace "yourworkspacename" with the name of your workspace).
If the contact form is disabled in this setting, the contact form will be completely unavailable. Even if a user manually goes to yourworkspacename.pbworks.com/contact.php, they will not be able to use the contact form.

This feature allows the Page History link (along with the clock icon) in the corner of each workspace page to be hidden from plain view.

| Page History Enabled |
| Page History Disabled |
Note: Unchecking the checkbox for this setting does not completely disable Page History. All revisions of every page are still saved and any user of your workspace can still access it by going to "http://yourworkspacename.pbworks.com/FindPage?RevisionsFor=FrontPage" (this would list all the revisions for the FrontPage. Replace the name of the page for other pages). To completely get rid of past revisions, either an Administrator or Editor needs to click the red "Delete" buttons in the Page History.

Uncheck this setting to remove the entire PBworks footer from the bottom of every workspace page.

Note: If you do uncheck this setting, all users will still be able to get the right panel to show again by clicking the small triangle in the upper right corner of the page. If a user does choose to show or hide the right panel, it will be saved as a personal choice, and so this setting will not be enforced for that user until they log out.

Uncheck the "Show Folders" setting to remove the folder listing from the right panel of your workspace.

Note: This does not effect the availabilty of folders to any user in your workspace. To restrict access to certain folders in your workspace, you must set custom Folder Security in the Pages & Files Manager. Any folders not accessible to a user, through the Folder Security options, will not be shown in this folders list, nor in the Pages & Files manager, when the user logs in.

Uncheck the "Show Recent Workspace Activity" setting to remove the box from the right panel which shows the recent workspace activity.
Note: Even if the recent workspace activity option is unchecked, the listing of recent changes is still accessible at "http://yourworkspacename.pbworks.com/changes.php" Any changes done to pages that are not accessible to a certain user will not be shown when they log in.

Uncheck the "Show Share this workspace" setting to remove the "Share this workspace" box from the right panel.
Note: By default, this option is only shown to Administrators of the workspace as they are the only ones with sufficient permission to add users to a private workspace. If this setting is unchecked, the Administrators will have to add users by clicking "Settings" and then accessing the "Users" menu.

Uncheck the "Show Sidebar" setting to remove the "Sidebar" box from the right panel.
Note: This will only remove the Sidebar from being displayed in your workspace's right panel. The page "SideBar" will still exist on your workspace, in case you want to add it back later.
